Role Description
We are looking for a strategic and analytical leader to head all the Categories & Business growth initiatives. This role will be responsible for driving revenue and profitability across our core product categories - Tyres, Batteries, Alloy Wheels while also spearheading the GTM of new product/accessories or service verticals. This role will also be responsible for managing inventory, operations, OEM relations, team management. The ideal candidate is a strong business owner with deep category knowledge, sharp pricing acumen, and a track record of executing growth, GTM strategies and driving efficiencies across P&L in a fast-paced, consumer-centric environment. This role would report to the CEO.
Responsibilities
1. Revenue Growth & Category Development
- Drive top-line growth across existing categories by identifying and leveraging sales levers.
- Unlock Growth / New initiatives: Launch new product/service categories & New Initiative aligned with market demand and company objectives
- Continuously monitor category performance and optimize portfolio mix for revenue maximization.
2. P&L ownership
- Own pricing strategy across categories; align with profitability goals and market competitiveness/ competition benchmarking
- Drive efficiencies across P&L to improve contribution margins
3. Market Insights & GTM
- Lead market research efforts to assess trends, competitive positioning, and consumer insights.
- Develop Go To Market strategies for new categories / services
- Partner with Website, Tech, Marketing, Call Centre, CRM, Finance teams to deliver seamless execution
- Build strong channel & marketing strategies for D2C and marketplace environments.
4. Supplier & OEM Relationship Management
- Build and manage strong relationships with OEMs, aftermarket dealers, and suppliers.
- Ensure a robust supplier network for consistent and competitive sourcing.
- Negotiate commercial terms with vendors/OEM and align OEM marketing efforts with company goals.
5. Inventory Planning & Control
- Define and implement inventory planning frameworks to ensure product availability with minimum working capital.
- Work with Operations, CC, Business development teams to minimize stock-outs and dead inventory
6. Operations Management
- Manage daily operations, ensuring efficiency and productivity across departments
- Plan & execute all the initiatives across operations teams for business growth & operational efficiencies
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience (3-5 yrs) in category management, pricing, P&L ownership
- Experience in tyre, battery, auto aftercare industry highly preferred
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills; hands-on with data and pricing models.
- Deep understanding of automotive, e-commerce, or consumer product industries.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work in a dynamic, cross-functional setup.
