Associate Director - Emerging Business (NBFC / D2C)
What You Will Do:
1. New Customer Acquisition and Lead Conversion: - You'll be responsible for acquiring new customers within the Mid-Market/SME categories and converting leads into sales. This involves leveraging your sales expertise to identify potential clients and effectively communicate the value proposition to them.
2. Sales Planning and Strategy: - Develop both short-term and long-term sales plans, along with innovative sales approaches and strategies. This includes setting clear objectives and outlining the steps needed to achieve them.
3. Achieving Revenue Targets: - Consistently meet or exceed revenue targets aligned with team and organizational objectives. Your role will involve driving the sales team towards these goals through effective leadership and motivation.
4. Team Management and Development: - Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly reviews of sales plans with team members. Implement improvement plans tailored to each individual's strengths and areas for growth, ensuring the team operates at peak performance.
5. Customer Relationship Management (CRM): - Maintain strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs and ensuring their satisfaction throughout the sales process and beyond. This involves proactive communication and effective problem-solving.
6. Building Outbound Business Development Pipeline: - Manage and expand the outbound business development pipeline by identifying target accounts and strategically timing outreach efforts. Focus on accounts that have strong use cases for your offerings.
7. Establishing Best Practices and Procedures: - Develop and implement best practices and operating procedures to streamline the conversion of leads into sales. This includes optimizing the sales process for efficiency and effectiveness.
8. Market Trends and Competitor Intelligence: - Stay updated on market trends and developments within the payments industry. Gather and analyze competitor intelligence to inform strategic decisions and maintain a competitive edge.
What You Will Need: -
8-10 years of Relevant Experience: Extensive experience in online payments sales, demonstrating a deep understanding of the industry and its dynamics.
- Sector Knowledge: Familiarity with the payments space, ideally with experience managing Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) brands, Funded Start Up's, travel, and Non-Banking Financial Company (NBFC) merchants etc.
- Team Management Skills: Previous experience in leading teams, showcasing strong people management abilities to drive performance and foster a collaborative environment.
- Sales Expertise: Proven success in a hunting role within a previous organization, with a track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Product Focus: Experience in product-focused sales, with a structured and organized approach to managing sales processes and customer interactions.
- Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal skills enabling you to build rapport with customers, understand their requirements, and effectively communicate the value proposition of your offerings.
- Business Acumen: A keen business sense and deep product expertise, enabling you to effectively navigate complex sales environments and make informed strategic decisions.
