What you'll do at Cascade:

Serve the American Dream Through Attainable Home Ownership.

*Internal Applicants Only*

Position Overview:

As Processing Assistant Trainer, you will both do the work (as needed) and improve how the work is taught. You will train new and existing processing assistants onshore and offshore on assistant processing tasks, appraisal ordering, system use, and Encompass across all processing business channels, while also building a more modern, scalable training program. That means leaning on self-paced content, video, microlearning, AI-assisted tools, and strong job aids so new hires ramp faster and ongoing learning doesn’t always require a trainer in the room. You’ll also act as a Processing floater as needed and work directly with processing assistants to keep daily output efficient, accurate, and on time.  We’re looking for someone who is curious about new tools, willing to try things, and thinks beyond traditional classroom training.

  • Build a scalable, multi-modal curriculum that includes self-paced modules, short videos, interactive job aids, and searchable knowledge bases so assistants can learn and re-learn on demand without always pulling a trainer in
  • Deliver training through the right format for the topic, mixing live sessions, recorded walkthroughs, AI-assisted practice, and async content so the program scales without becoming dependent on any single trainer’s schedule
  • Measure what’s working. Track ramp time, knowledge checks, error rates, and post-training performance, and use that data to keep improving the program rather than relying on gut feel
  • Give processing leaders clear, objective performance feedback on trainees and surface patterns that point to process or system improvements, not just people problems
  • Stand up training for new operational rollouts, LOS changes, and process updates quickly, and update existing content so it doesn’t go stale the moment something changes
  • Be the go-to resource for new processing assistants during ramp-up, capturing every recurring question and turning it into a job aid, FAQ, or AI-assisted answer so the next hire can self-serve. Provide structured exit feedback to the training manager as hires complete the program
  • Direct traffic and assist when needed to help clear out backlogged tasks
  • At direction of manager, run other reports as needed, assist on projects as needed, and test tickets regarding assistants as needed
  • Encourage and motivate trainees as they calibrate to new experience
  • Build out Phased Training as a clear upskilling track that prepares processing assistants to take on senior processing tasks, with measurable checkpoints along the way
  • Cover Processors pipelines in their absence as needed
  • Look for ways to use technology, including AI tools, automation, etc. to reduce repetitive training overhead and free up time for higher-value coaching

Minimum Requirements:

  • 2+ years as a processing assistant or equivalent
  • Strong understanding of FHA, VA, GSE, and Chattel lending
  • Excellent listening, organizational, and time management skills
  • Ability to work under stressful deadlines and to manage competing priorities
  • Strong interpersonal communication and team building skills
  • Strong training, public speaking, and presentation skills, plus a real interest in modern instructional approaches like microlearning, video, and self-paced content
  • Excellent communication skills, attention to detail and ability to develop quality training material
  • Proficient in time management, organization, planning, and prioritization.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Construction to Perm (CTP) or New Construction loan experience a plus
  • Comfort with technology and a willingness to try new tools, including AI-assisted training, learning management systems, screen recording, and knowledge bases
  • A creative, problem-solving mindset. You look at a process that’s always been done one way and ask whether there’s a faster, simpler, or more scalable way to do it
