The Industrial Engineer supports Carrier’s applied chiller manufacturing operations by analyzing, designing, and optimizing production systems to improve efficiency, quality, safety, and cost performance. This role works cross-functionally with manufacturing engineering, production, quality, supply chain, and advanced engineering teams to drive continuous improvement and ensure Carrier’s chiller manufacturing processes meet world-class operational standards. The Industrial Engineer plays a key role in capacity planning, labor optimization, workflow design, and implementation of lean manufacturing principles across the plant.
This role is onsite in Charlotte, NC.
Labor & Standards: Develop and maintain time studies, standard work, and labor models to support accurate staffing, line balancing, and productivity improvements.
Continuous Improvement: Lead Lean and Six Sigma initiatives, including Kaizen events, root-cause analysis, and waste-reduction projects.
