About the role
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Construct and manage projects and coordinate product team members activities to meet established schedule and budget standards.
- Formulate cross-functional product teams with specific roles and responsibilities to the program.
- Lead program finance and budgeting, including material costing and capital equipment expenditures.
- Lead Engineering Change process from customer or internal requests.
- Lead Gate Reviews, consolidate the presentations and invite plant and corporate leaders for review and decision process.
- Align customer expectations with Launch Managers, Quality Managers, and other key players and define mitigation plans for deliverables at risk.
- Escalate program risks to senior leadership when resources are required to accomplish the program deliverables.
- Coordinate development, specification, and procurement of first-generation equipment.
- Manage numerous components of the supplier base, including quoting, procurement and delivery coordination, evaluation, and creation of work statements.
- Provide product-specific support to marketing, including presentations, datasheets, customer visits, market research data, formulation of product business and launch plan, and product pricing.
REQUIREMENTS
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or relevant field required.
Years of Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in Automotive Program Management or Launch Management
- 5+ years of experience in OEM product development
Other Requirements:
- Ability to effectively communicate changes, risks and align mitigation plans through all levels of the organization.
- Recent training in AIAG Core Tools (minimum APQP and PPAP).
- Valid driver’s license/Passport required for business travel.
- Regular and predictable attendance required.
- Experience in formulating and managing project schedules.
- Experience in the Tier 1 automotive industry a plus
- Work beyond the traditional 40 hours per week may be required as workload or projects dictate, including weekends and holidays.

- Advanced skill level with Microsoft Office Suite; Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint.
- Advanced/Intermediate skill level with OE PD systems WERS, VPP, GCP.

- Understanding of basic program management disciplines, including critical path, design-to-cost, value analysis, concurrent engineering, and risk management.

- Demonstrated success in managing product development stages from conception to manufacturing.
