Role Overview:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and communicative CargoWise Business Analyst to act as the primary bridge between our customers and our technical development team. You will gather, analyse, and translate business requirements into clear technical specifications, prepare formal Scope of Work documents, and ensure seamless communication at every step of the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Customer Engagement & Requirements Gathering
Serve as the first point of contact for customers. Conduct discovery calls, meetings, and workshops to understand business needs, pain points, and workflow requirements within the CargoWise ecosystem.
2. Requirement Documentation & Translation
Convert customer requirements into well-structured functional specifications, user stories, and process flows that can be clearly understood and actioned by the technical development team.
3. Scope of Work (SOW) Document Preparation
Prepare clear, comprehensive, and professional Scope of Work documents for each customer engagement. The SOW must outline project objectives, deliverables, timelines, development hours, assumptions, exclusions, and acceptance criteria. Ensure the SOW is reviewed and agreed upon by both the customer and internal teams before development begins.
4. Email & Communication Management
Monitor and respond to all incoming customer requests and queries via email in a timely and professional manner. Ensure no request goes unacknowledged and maintain clear communication trails for all engagements.
5. Timeline & Estimation Coordination
Liaise with the technical team to obtain accurate development hours and project timelines for each customer request. Communicate delivery estimates back to customers clearly and manage expectations accordingly.
6. Stakeholder Liaison & Project Tracking
Act as the ongoing liaison between customers and the technical team throughout the delivery cycle. Track project progress, flag risks or scope changes, and keep all parties aligned until successful delivery.
Required Skills
- Hands-on experience with CargoWise One (CW1) platform
- Strong knowledge of freight forwarding & logistics operations
- Excellent written & spoken English communication
- Ability to write clear functional specifications & user stories
- Experience preparing Scope of Work (SOW) documents professionally
- Professional email etiquette & response management
- Experience in requirement gathering from non-technical stakeholders
- Familiarity with project timelines & effort estimation processes
- CargoWise certification (CW1 Operator or equivalent)
- Experience with customs, warehousing or transport modules in CW1
- Exposure to EDI, API or integration workflows
- Familiarity with tools like Jira, Confluence, or similar
- Basic understanding of SQL or data reporting concepts
- Prior experience in a software services or consulting environment
