Role Description
We are seeking a full-time Career Expert specialising in Fashion Design. The Career Expert will provide holistic career guidance, mentor students in creating personalised career development plans, and deliver engaging sessions to help students align their skills with industry opportunities. Responsibilities will include advising students on internships, career paths, and opportunities in the fashion industry, assisting with the development of professional portfolios, and building relationships with industry partners and recruiters to facilitate placement opportunities for graduates.
Qualifications
- Proven expertise in Career Guidance and Career Development, ideally within the fields of design and fashion.
- Strong Communication and interpersonal skills to effectively guide students and collaborate with industry professionals.
- Solid Analytical Skills to assess students' strengths, potential career paths, and market trends.
- Experience in Customer Service and student engagement to foster relationships and support student success.
- Knowledge of the fashion design industry, including an understanding of current trends, opportunities, and role requirements.
- Proficiency in mentoring and training students on skills such as resume building, interview preparation, and networking.
- Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, career development, or related fields, with a preference for candidates with experience or certifications in career guidance or education.
- Ability to work collaboratively with academic and industry leaders to build robust professional networks for students.
- Ability to explain complex global fashion trends in local languages with grace and clarity.
- A natural sense of style and a deep interest in the business of fashion.
- Able to handle tough questions from parents regarding job security and professional dignity in the fashion field.
