Role Description The Career Counselor will work full time on-site in Mangalore, supporting learners and professionals in exploring, planning, and advancing their career paths. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting individual and group counseling sessions, assessing interests and strengths, and helping members identify suitable academic and career options. The role involves creating and delivering workshops and resources on career development topics, such as resumes, interviews, networking, and skill-building strategies. The Career Counselor will collaborate closely with educators, mentors, and platform stakeholders to design relevant guidance programs and integrate career support into HUBCV’s digital ecosystem. The role also includes maintaining accurate records, monitoring progress, and providing ongoing support to ensure participants make informed, sustainable career decisions.
Qualifications
- Career-focused counseling skills, including Career Counseling, Career Development, and Career Management.
- Student-focused guidance skills, such as Student Counseling and support for diverse learning needs.
- Strong Communication skills for one-on-one sessions, group workshops, and stakeholder collaboration.
- Relevant academic background, such as a degree in Psychology, Counseling, Education, Human Resources, or a related field.
- Experience working with students, early-career professionals, or in an educational or ed-tech setting.
- Ability to use digital tools and platforms to deliver counseling, track progress, and generate reports.
- Empathetic, inclusive, and culturally sensitive approach to working with individuals from varied backgrounds.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple cases and initiatives simultaneously.
