Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Career Counselor role based in New Delhi. The Career Counselor will engage with students and families to understand academic backgrounds, interests, and career aspirations, and recommend suitable courses, universities, and countries. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting one-on-one and group counseling sessions, guiding students through application timelines, documentation requirements, and entrance exam or eligibility criteria. The role involves explaining admission processes, financial aspects, and scholarship opportunities in a clear and transparent manner, while maintaining accurate records of student interactions and progress. The Career Counselor will collaborate with internal teams to coordinate application submissions, support visa and pre-departure processes, and participate in seminars, workshops, and outreach activities to promote Alpha EduWorld’s services.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Career Counseling and Student Counseling to guide learners toward appropriate academic and career pathways.
- Candidates should possess skills in Career Development and Career Management to help students plan long-term goals and navigate international education options.
- Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills, including the ability to explain complex processes clearly and interact confidently with students and parents.
- Relevant experience in education consulting, academic advising, or student services, preferably with exposure to overseas education admissions.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Psychology, Education, Counseling, Management, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills, cultural sensitivity, and the ability to build trust with diverse student populations.
- Proficiency in MS Office and basic CRM or database tools to manage student records and follow-ups.
- Ability to work in a structured, target-driven environment while maintaining ethical counseling practices.
