About the Team You will be part of a dynamic and autonomous team within New Ventures, playing a key role in building Careem's next big vertical. You'll work alongside a values-driven team that embodies ownership, bold ambition, and a deep commitment to serving our customers, partners, colleagues, and Captains across the UAE and Jordan. About the Role We are looking for a strategic and execution-driven Associate Director to lead Careem Box operations across the UAE and Jordan. In this high-impact role, you will be responsible for driving growth, optimizing operations, and strengthening our market presence across both countries. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Product, Finance, and Central Operations to deliver exceptional results and unlock the next phase of scale for Careem Box. What you'll do Own the full P&L and strategic performance of Careem Box in UAE and Jordan, leading growth, commercial, marketing, and operational functions to deliver sustainable business impact. Define and execute high-impact market strategies to drive customer acquisition, engagement, retention, and lifetime value, while continuously improving platform efficiency and unit economics. Lead commercial and strategic partnerships, unlocking new demand channels and enhancing the value proposition for both senders and couriers. Drive operational excellence at scale, optimizing key metrics such as delivery speed, reliability, and cost-to-serve across complex and dynamic markets. Influence cross-functional priorities by working closely with Product, Data, Finance, Legal, and Care teams to overcome barriers, launch new capabilities, and deliver seamless market operations. Leverage data and insights to monitor performance, identify key trends, and guide strategic decision-making and resource allocation. Represent Careem externally, building strong relationships with regulators, partners, and ecosystem stakeholders to advance the business and ensure compliance with local laws. What you'll need Strong business acumen, with an ability to understand the different moving parts that drive a business. P&L experience is a plus Proven track record of managing and scaling complex businesses across multiple markets. Strong analytical and commercial acumen with the ability to turn insights into action. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills. Experience leading cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment. Entrepreneurial mindset and a bias for action – you're not afraid to roll up your sleeves.
