About The Opportunity

Role & Responsibilities
- Administer and manage anesthesia for open-heart, valve replacement, CABG, TAVI, and minimally invasive cardiac surgeries with precision and real-time adaptability.
- Lead intraoperative hemodynamic monitoring, including transesophageal echocardiography (TEE), arterial line, central venous pressure (CVP), and pulmonary artery catheter (PAC) management.
- Collaborate with cardiac surgeons, perfusionists, and ICU teams to optimize patient outcomes during and after cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB).
- Manage postoperative pain, ventilation, and early mobilization strategies in cardiac ICU while preventing complications like arrhythmias, low cardiac output, or coagulopathy.
- Participate in pre-anesthetic evaluation, risk stratification, and optimization of high-risk cardiac patients prior to surgery.
- Initiate, document, and audit clinical protocols while mentoring junior anesthesiologists and fellows in advanced cardiac anesthesia techniques.
Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have
- DA (Diploma in Anesthesia)
- DNB Anesthesiology
- MD Anesthesiology
- Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE)
- Cardiopulmonary Bypass (CPB) Management
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Intraoperative Hemodynamic Monitoring
- Postoperative Cardiac ICU Management
Preferred
- Fellowship in Cardiac Anesthesia
- Experience with ECMO or VAD support perioperatively
- Published research or conference presentation in cardiac anesthesia
