🌱 WE ARE HIRING | CARBON MARKET SPECIALIST
We are looking for an experienced Carbon Market Specialist to join our team on a Remote / Work-from-Home basis.
This is a senior-level opportunity for a professional who has 7+ years of hands-on experience in Carbon Markets / Carbon Credits / Climate Finance / Carbon Project Development and can independently guide and manage carbon-market activities.
🔹 Key Responsibilities
• Carbon market research, analysis & opportunity identification
• Identify and evaluate potential carbon-credit projects
• Carbon project feasibility & commercial assessment
• Carbon credit project development and lifecycle management
• Understanding of Indian Carbon Market (ICM) & CCTS
• Experience with Verra VCS / Gold Standard / GCC / CDM or similar standards
• GHG accounting, emission-reduction calculations & MRV
• Validation, verification, registration & issuance process
• Carbon credit pricing, market trends & buyer requirements
• Carbon credit monetisation / offtake opportunities
• Support project documentation, PDDs, feasibility reports & financial assessments
• Guide the internal team on carbon-market strategy and project execution
• Coordinate with project developers, VVBs, registries, buyers and other stakeholders
• Track Indian & international carbon-market regulations and developments
🔹 What We’re Looking For
✅ Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in Carbon Markets / Carbon Credits
✅ Strong practical knowledge of carbon-credit project development
✅ Understanding of Indian Carbon Market / CCTS
✅ Knowledge of international carbon standards and methodologies
✅ Strong understanding of GHG accounting & MRV
✅ Excellent analytical, communication & research skills
✅ Ability to work independently in a remote environment
✅ Strong commercial understanding of carbon credits and carbon-market opportunities
