Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Car Mechanic role based at PPS Mahindra in Bengaluru East. The Car Mechanic will perform routine vehicle maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on Mahindra vehicles, ensuring that all work meets manufacturer and safety standards. Daily tasks include inspecting vehicles, identifying mechanical and electrical issues, replacing or repairing parts, performing scheduled services, and conducting road tests to verify successful repairs. The role also involves maintaining accurate service records, following workshop protocols, and collaborating with service advisors and other team members to provide clear updates on repair status. The Car Mechanic is expected to interact professionally with customers when needed, support high levels of customer satisfaction, and keep the work area organized and compliant with health and safety guidelines.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Vehicle Maintenance and Maintenance & Repair, including routine servicing, inspections, and preventive care.
- Hands-on expertise in Automotive Repair and general Automotive systems, including engine, braking, suspension, electrical, and air-conditioning systems.
- Focus on Customer Satisfaction, with the ability to explain technical issues in simple terms and support a positive service experience.
- Diploma/ITI in Automobile Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience working as an automotive technician or mechanic in a dealership or authorized service center is preferred.
- Ability to use diagnostic tools, service manuals, and workshop equipment safely and accurately.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced workshop environment.
- Willingness to follow Mahindra service standards, attend technical training, and stay updated on new vehicle technologies.
