We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Business Analyst.
In This Role, You Will
- Act as the techno-functional lead/BA for Regulatory Finance Technology within the POD.
- Embed technical standards and best practices, improving team maturity and solution robustness.
- Take end-to-end accountability for system change delivery, including planned artefacts.
- Provide management/support across workstreams as needed to unblock delivery.
- Partner with Business and IT stakeholders to understand and document detailed requirements.
- Evaluate solution options and drive agreement on the best approach.
- Support IT teams with issue resolution to keep releases on track and ensure functional fixes are agreed.
- Embed and promote Agile/Scrum and DevOps ways of working.
- Drive quality engineering (code reviews, quality checks) and improve reliability of deliverables.
- Automate manual processes and contribute to performance tuning/optimisation, with proactive issue reporting through to closure.
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
- 7–10+ years as a Business Analyst, preferably in Capital Markets.
- Experience in Liquidity Risk, IRRBB and NCCR reporting (NSFR, LCR; NCCR capital calc – Standardised).
- Strong Investment Banking product knowledge: OTCs, Credit Derivatives, SFTs (Repos/Stock Borrow & Lending), Exchange Traded Products.
- Hands-on SQL (queries, database tools) and ability to debug stored procedures.
- Ability to review/debug Java code and identify defects/bugs.
- Proven experience in data sourcing and working with upstream systems, ensuring end-to-end requirements clarity across teams.
- Experience delivering IT/Finance/Risk change programmes/projects.
- Strong understanding of the development lifecycle and experience working in a DevOps model.
- Google Cloud Platform (GCP) exposure is desirable.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills (written and verbal), with a track record of delivering large-scale change to tight deadlines.
