Front Desk Administrator

Together with the Royal Navy, we're shaping the future of submarine training. From modernising courses and the learning environment, to delivering brand new equipment and teaching in a world class, new state-of-the-art building - our Faslane based team are playing their part to deliver "better trained submariners to the frontline, faster".

The primary purpose of this role is to greet visitors on to the site and deliver exceptional customer service assistance, whilst also providing training course administrative support as required.

The role will involve working 37.5 hours a week, 7.5 hours per day on a 2 week rota basis:

Week 1 - 7am - 3pm

Week 2 - 10am - 6pm

Will be required to work on average 1 weekend per month What you'll be doing:

• Ensuring all calls are answered in a professional and timely manner and redirected as appropriate.
• Welcoming visitors on site and signpost as necessary to the relevant department.
• Receiving, sorting and dispatching mail and action any deliveries.
• Ensuring building security is maintained/adhered to at all times. All visitors will be required to be recorded and logged appropriately on entry and exit of the building.
• Ensuring digital welcoming screen is updated daily with course arrival information and welcoming message for expected visitors/guests.
• Responsible for ensuring all relevant Ministry of Defence (MOD) databases are kept updated
• Providing administration support to the training course teams

What we're looking for:

• Previous Front of House/Receptionist experience
• Team player with initiative to work independently
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
• Confident with the ability to engage with customers and other teams.
• Good administration skills
• Knowledge of MS Office and openness to learn different IT applications
• Ability to work shift pattern and weekends
• Must be able to obtain UK SC clearance

About Selborne

Selborne is a wide scale, 12 year transformation of Royal Navy Training. The contract worth GBP 1 billion was awarded in December 2020 to a consortium led by Capita to deliver and modernise training for the RN. The consortia of partners known as Team Fisher includes Raytheon UK, Fujitsu and University of Lincoln together with 14 other UK-based suppliers.
