To enable this acceleration of growth, Services Business is performing a Global transformation of its operating model, processes and digital capabilities (Offer, Pricing, Quotation, Service Execution)
The Capability Business Analyst supports the bFS (Bridge Field Services : Salesforce) product, its capability roadmap, and the wider Services Division by analysing business needs, translating them into functional requirements, and ensuring that digital solutions delivered for Field Services are fit‑for‑purpose.
This role acts as the critical link between business stakeholders, capability owners, technical product teams, and deployment teams, ensuring that enhancements and new features in bFS enable operational excellence, user efficiency, and consistent global adoption across countries.
Key Responsibilities
Services Transformation Program portfolio is expected to accelerate to more than 50+ active projects per year – typically 10 to 20 per geography/Ops – requiring a high level of anticipation, coordination and preparation.
- Business Analysis & Requirements Management
- Gather, analyse, and document business requirements across Services operations (Work Orders, Contracts, Scheduling, Installed Base, Service Plans, Logistics, Finance integrations, etc.).
- Translate business needs into clear functional specifications, user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flows.
- Challenge assumptions and simplify complexity to ensure requirements add measurable value to operations.
- Create and maintain Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) and functional design documents aligned with capability standards.
- Submit and manage functional Jira stories, ensuring clarity, completeness, and alignment.
- bFS-SAP Process Flow Subject Matter Expert
- Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) on end-to-end bFS–SAP process flows, including integrations related to work orders, contracts, billing, materials, and finance.
- Ensure functional alignment between Salesforce bFS capabilities and SAP processes, validating data models, interfaces, and business rules.
- Support impact analysis for changes affecting SAP integrations and downstream systems.
- Collaborate with SAP functional teams, architects, and integration specialists to define requirements, resolve design gaps, and ensure consistency across platforms.
- Provide guidance to deployment and support teams on SAP-related process dependencies and best practices.
- Capability Governance & Backlog Ownership Support
- Support Capability Owners in prioritising backlog items based on value, dependencies, regulatory needs, and deployment readiness.
- Review and refine capability items within bFS backlogs (aligned with capability structures observed in Jira)
- Facilitate refinement sessions, sprint planning discussions, and PI‑planning prep for capabilities impacting Field Services
- Cross‑Functional Collaboration
- Act as the bridge between Services operations, deployment teams, Product Owners, architects, developers, test teams, and country stakeholders.
- Support bFS transformation discussions and preparation for governance forums and service transformation meetings
- Work closely with country deployment teams to interpret needs, gather feedback, and validate solutions.
- Process Mapping & Continuous Improvement
- Map and optimise end‑to‑end service processes affected by bFS (e.g., work order lifecycle, scheduling, contract management, spare parts flow).
- Identify pain points, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities using qualitative and quantitative analysis.
- Support harmonisation of service processes across regions.
- Deployment Enablement & Change Support
- Provide functional expertise during country deployments, helping local teams understand new features, processes, and capability changes.
- Support training content creation, FAQs, readiness materials, and implementation playbooks.
- Gather post‑deployment feedback to feed into future capability iterations.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Business or Engineering Degree
- 7+ years in Digital delivery and/or Program/Project Management and/or Consulting
- SAP expertise across service contracts, sales orders, billing, logistics, and finance modules. Deeper understanding of configurations and table setup.
- ERP functional knowledge, including service execution, inventory, and financial flows.
- Hands on experience with Salesforce Field Service / bFS and its end to end integrations with ERP systems.
- Strong understanding of API, middleware, and interface integrations between Salesforce, SAP, and Oracle.
- Practical exposure to Oracle CPQ (configuration, pricing logic, quoting flows, ERP touchpoints).
- Ability to design and validate bFS–SAP process flows, including master data, transactional sync, and error handling.
- Skilled in writing user stories, functional specs, BRDs, and acceptance criteria for complex service scenarios.
Skills:
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to translate complex operations into clear requirements.
- Strong capability in process mapping (e.g., BPMN) and documentation.
- Proven ability to collaborate across functions such as Product, Deployment, Architecture, and Operations.
- Understanding of agile delivery frameworks (Scrum, SAFe).
- Strong communication skills—able to speak “business” and “technical” languages.
