About the Role As the Country Manager for Indonesia, you will be the main point of contact and the driving force behind Canva's success in the country. You will own and implement a multi-year strategic roadmap, leading cross-functional efforts to grow the user base, increase brand affinity, and scale revenue. This role requires deep market knowledge, a growth mindset, and strong leadership capabilities to bring together local and global teams across marketing, sales, and product in a cohesive strategy. What you'd be doing in this role Strategy. Act as the main leadership point of contact with responsibility for overall user and revenue growth in Indonesia. You'll bring together local and global teams across marketing, sales, product, content and finance to create and execute a cohesive multi-year growth strategy, and own the KPIs including Monthly Active Users (MAUs) and Annualised Recurring Revenue (ARR). You establish and take ownership of local sales, community, and B2B programs to increase Canva's presence among businesses of all sizes. Marketing. Leverage marketing channels including social media, influencer marketing, community engagement, PR, partnerships, SEO, ASO, performance marketing, and lifecycle marketing to drive user acquisition. Localisation. Work closely with the regional team to optimise our product, content, pricing and packaging to meet the needs of local users, informed by a deep understanding of local market dynamics and cultural nuances across a range of audiences, including knowledge workers, SMBs, students, startup ecosystems, NGOs, and other emerging sectors. This includes partnering with global and local teams to ensure hyper-localized user experiences, from onboarding to payment methods, content, and support. Leadership. Hire, inspire, drive and in some cases coach the in-market team, ensuring a high quality bar for impact and working closely with local speciality leads on performance management. Budget. Partner closely with the regional team and marketing lead to shape the marketing strategy and deployment of budget. Sponsorship. Build and support high value relationships by acting as a local sponsor for enterprise sales, education, government, partnerships, etc. Public face. Represent Canva as a local figurehead across press, PR, events and community. You're probably a match if * You have a track record of driving user growth, marketing, revenue and retention in high growth environments– driving market and user growth. * You have deep knowledge of Indonesia market. You have a holistic and solid grasp of cultural nuances, consumer behavior, digital trends, and competitive landscape. * You are strongly entrepreneurial. Founder-style appetite for growing something big from a small start and working across everything from education to press. * You have experienced building a market. For example, as the regional GM or brand lead for a global SaaS company, or as a proven founder or growth lead in a startup. * You are a proven leader. Ability to grow, inspire, and coach high-performing teams. You have high emotional intelligence and empathy, and are a deeply collaborative teammate. * You are a strong communicator. Fully proficient in spoken and written English, and with the interpersonal skills to influence global and local stakeholders. * You are keenly analytical. Deeply focused on KPIs and obsessive about driving actionable insights from disparate datasets. * You are product oriented. Passion for improving the experience of users and the ability to translate these insights into product requirements. * You are values aligned.
