About The Role

Our team is growing and we’re hiring multiple Senior Full Stack Engineers to join our engineering team and enable our next phase of growth. Canary's engineering team is fully remote!

You should be a strong IC that can deal with ambiguity, and understand what it takes to build quality, maintainable full-stack applications. You should also care deeply about the customer experience and work closely with Product Managers to inform product decision making. The services built and owned by your team will have to operate at large scale and hence passion and discipline around operational excellence is essential.

What You'll Do

1. You'll collaborate with a team of engineers and managers to create applications used by our hotel customers around the world
2. Write clean, self-documenting code that follows best practices and design patterns
3. Provide creative ideas to improve our product and technology
4. Think beyond the specifics of a ticket in order to delight customers or grow the business
5. Effective in 1:1 mentoring and active in code reviews. Advises tech lead on technical decisions
6. Be a self-starter that can deal with ambiguity, take initiative, and execute on projects with little direction

Minimum Qualifications

1. 3+ years of experience
2. Solid knowledge of developing backend applications
3. Experience with Javascript and common front-end frameworks such as ReactJS or VueJS
4. Have a strong demonstrated ability to ship high-quality products
5. Self-motivated, collaborative, and diligent work ethic

Bonus Points

1. Expert in Python with knowledge on at least one industry standard framework like Django, Flask, etc.
2. Experience using Docker and cloud technologies such as Amazon Web Services (AWS)
3. Experience with SQL databases and database design skills
