About the role

We are seeking a visionary and strategic Head of Branding to lead the development, protection, and consistent application of CUD s brand across all channels and touchpoints. Reporting to the Director of Marketing & Communications, you ll shape how the world sees us, elevating our identity, voice, and reputation both locally and internationally. Key Responsibilities Evaluate and strengthen CUD s brand positioning through data-driven insights, strategic planning, and proactive brand protection measures. Develop and execute the university s brand strategy across all platforms, ensuring consistent messaging and visual identity. Oversee and enforce brand guidelines across internal departments and external communications. Lead the visual branding direction including logo, color palettes, photography, and storytelling standards. Collaborate cross-functionally with PR, Creative, Digital, Social Media, and Recruitment teams to execute impactful campaigns. Manage branding for high-impact campaigns, including those targeting sponsored student enrollment. Conduct brand research, perception audits, and competitor benchmarking to optimize visibility and differentiation. Champion internal brand engagement through workshops, brand onboarding, and faculty/staff alignment. Manage relationships with branding agencies, freelancers, and creative partners to ensure brand-aligned output. Monitor performance, KPIs, and ROI of branding initiatives, and drive continuous improvement. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor s degree in Marketing, Branding, Communications, or related field (Master s preferred). Minimum 8 years of experience in brand management, with 3+ years in a senior leadership role. Proven expertise in brand strategy, identity systems, storytelling, and brand architecture. Experience in higher education, nonprofit, or mission-driven organizations is highly desirable. Proficiency in visual and digital branding tools and platforms.
