Junior Web Developer

Reporting to the Executive Director, Salsa in Toronto Festival, and working alongside senior members of the IT Team, the successful candidate will support and join a dedicated team of special event professionals to help produce and execute the Salsa in Toronto Festival. In this role, the candidate will provide IT and web design and support for the event website and its social media platforms. The individual will gain direct hands-on experience in a positive and encouraging workplace and will acquire valuable career-related experience in STEM and ICT. This is an 8 week term summer position ending no later than August 29, 2025. Main Responsibilities Provide support related to the design, development and evaluation of event website (salsaintoronto.com) Help to monitor and evaluate website for quality of content, compliance with standards, use of proper metadata practices, flow, accessibility, navigability, etc. Feature development, bug fixing, and optimization of our current web properties Help to identify, recommend and implement corrective action as required Assist in the design and development of web pages, graphics, multimedia, GUIs. Provide assistance in the reporting of SEO/Social Media KPIs, help to set benchmarks and assist with strategic and tactical analysis Assist in the maintenance of the content management system, updating website and social media platforms as needed Work closely with the Digital Marketing team for uploading and editing content Other duties as required
