About Philonet
Philonet is an attempt to change the way we all consume and discuss what we read. Scrolling is easy. Reacting is easy. Actually reading something, sitting with it, and sharing a thought worth sharing — that's rare. And with Philonet, we're trying to bring that back. The rule is simple: read first, then talk. No hot takes without context. No noise without substance. Just real people, real reads, and real discussions.
The Campus Ambassador's Day-To-Day Responsibilities Include:
- Spread Philonet Across Your Campus and Alumni Network: Share the platform with peers, seniors, professors, and alumni circles who love to read and love to think. Host informal reading discussions, drop the link in the right WhatsApp groups, and get the right people through the door.
- Be the Voice of Your Community: Collect feedback on what your peers want to read and discuss. You'll have a direct line to the founding team — your insights will shape what Philonet becomes.
Rewards and Incentives:
- A fixed stipend.
- Complete flexibility to work from your hostel room, the library, or your favourite café.
- A certificate of internship upon completion.
- A letter of recommendation based on your performance.
Learning and Mentorship Opportunities:
- You'll work directly with Rahul, co-founder of Philonet. An MBA from XLRI Jamshedpur with a background spanning product, community building, and deep reading, he's been quietly building something he genuinely believes in.
- If you're curious about startups, product thinking, or what it looks like to build a platform from zero or if you've ever wanted to start something of your own someday you'll find plenty of honest, grounded conversation here.
- This is a chance to be part of something early. The kind of early where your name means something, and the work you do actually shows up in the product.
Other Requirements:
- A Reader, First: You don't have to be a prolific writer. But you should be someone who reads. Someone for whom finishing an article isn't the end, it's the beginning of a conversation.
- Principled and Curious: You ask questions, you follow threads, and you'd rather understand something deeply than have a take on everything.
