Note: This is a part-time position, working 24 hours per week.
DIMENSIONS/SCOPE OF POSITION:
Provide effective and effective physical therapy care to clients. Delivers comprehensive physical therapy care for patients while also serving as a mentor and instructor in the mentorship and residency programs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide efficient and effective physical therapy care to a wide variety of patients
- Serves as a subject matter expert in the field of orthopedics
- Provides direct mentorship to mentees and residents
- Ability to deliver educational in-services and lectures on orthopedic sub-specialty
- Communicate effectively with patients, family members, and co-workers
- Regular and predictable attendance
- Ability to work cooperatively with others
- Performs other duties as assigned above and beyond staff therapist level
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and/or Experience: Doctorate in Physical Therapy required. Minimum of 3 years of experience in
outpatient orthopedics setting required.
Language Skills: Able to communicate effectively in the English language.
Mathematical Skills: Basic arithmetic skills are required.
Reasoning Ability: Identifies and resolves problems promptly.
Computer Skills: Must be computer-literate and able to navigate software applications.
Certificates, Licenses: Advanced certifications (OCS, SCS, Manual Therapy) preferred. Must be licensed as a Physical Therapist in Tennessee or Mississippi, depending on the assigned location.
Other Skills and Abilities: Able to listen and respond well to questions and feedback.
