Job Overview

Skilled CAM Milling Programmer proficient in both 3-axis and 5-axis (Simultaneous) machines programming with strong background in CNC machining, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities and Duties

 

·       Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD models to determine machining operations.

·       Select appropriate tools, materials, and cutting parameters for each job.

·       Proven experience in machining blisks, Assemblies & Sheet Metal Parts will be advantage.

·       Utilize Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAM) software (Power Mill) to program machines, creating precise and efficient toolpaths for manufacturing complex geometries and intricate part designs. Conduct test runs and adjusts machining parameters to ensure optimal performance and quality of finished parts.

·       Oversee and monitor machine operations throughout part Development to ensure optimal performance. Quickly identify, diagnose, and resolve any machining issues that arise, minimizing downtime and maintaining consistent product quality. Solid understanding of machining principles and cutting tool selection.

·       Utilize a deep understanding of machining principles to select the most appropriate cutting tools and materials for each operation, ensuring effective machining processes, high precision, and optimal tool life. Make data-driven decisions regarding speed, feed rates, and cutting strategies.

·       Ensure PFMEA s, APQP, PS Cost analysis requirements are executed within the defined guidelines and timelines.

·       Strong ability to analyze and resolve technical issues and successfully coordinate Manufacturing, Quality and Planning teams for part realization.

·       Ensure the ultimate design for manufacturability is gained within the defined timelines.

·       Accurately document all work processes, including machine settings, cutting tools, and operational parameters, ensuring that all information is precise, clear, and accessible for future reference.

·       Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) standards to ensure accurate manufacturing processes and compliance with design specifications. Good Knowledge in Aerospace and customer specific requirements shall be an additional advantage.

·       In-depth knowledge of cutting tool selection, optimizing tools based on material types, machining operations, and part geometry. Experience in fixture design to support efficient, safe, and precise part manufacturing.

·       Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Qualifications & Requirements

·       UG or Graduate in Mechanical or Production Engineering.

·       Preferred minimum of 8 to 12 years of experience in Aerospace Manufacturing Shop.
