Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Calypso Developer with 6+ years of experience to design, develop, and support trading and post‑trade systems within the capital markets domain. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Core Java and Calypso (v16+), hands‑on experience with Calypso customizations, and a solid understanding of financial instruments such as equities and FX. This role requires close collaboration with operations and business stakeholders to deliver high‑quality solutions.

Mode of Work: Hybrid
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain Calypso-based applications and customizations.
- Work extensively with Calypso APIs to build enhancements and integrations.
- Customize Calypso components such as Workflows, BOMessages, BOTransfers, Scheduled Tasks, Reports, and Engines.
- Support trade lifecycle processes including trade capture, settlement, reconciliation, and reporting.
- Collaborate with operations and business users to gather requirements and resolve issues.
- Troubleshoot production issues and provide application support and enhancements.
- Write and optimize SQL queries for reporting and data analysis.
- Use version control tools (Git/SVN) and follow development best practices.
- Contribute to system upgrades, performance tuning, and process improvements.
Required Skills and Qualification
- 6+ years of experience in Java development (Core Java JDK 1.8 or above).
- At least 3–4 years of hands-on experience with Calypso (version 16 or higher).
- Strong expertise in Calypso customizations (Workflows, BO modules, Reports, Engines).
- Working knowledge of financial instruments such as Equities and FX.
- Understanding of trading lifecycle processes including settlement and reconciliation.
- Strong SQL skills with experience in Oracle or Sybase databases.
- Basic knowledge of Unix/Linux commands.
- Experience with version control systems (Git, SVN).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
- Good communication and stakeholder interaction skills.
Good to have Skills
- Experience in investment banking or capital markets environments.
- Exposure to derivatives, risk analytics, or pricing models.
- Familiarity with messaging systems or integration frameworks.
