IT Project Specialist (Temp -Remote)

Position Summary

The IT Project Specialist will support our Business Analyst and Project Management teams in gathering, documenting, analyzing and refining requirements across various IT initiatives / projects, and Incident Management tracks. This role is designed to provide exposure to Property and Casualty business domain with a focus on IT business analysis and project management disciplines. This will also ensure exposure to cloud native applications and tools for modern systems.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist BAs in gathering, reviewing and creating supporting documentation.
• Assist Business Analysts in gathering, validating, and documenting business requirements and supporting documentation.
• Participate in Agile meetings (daily scrum and sprint planning) to gain practical exposure to scrum methodology.
• Assist Project Managers in coordinating project meetings, taking meeting notes, project follow ups and supporting documentation.
• Perform risk analysis using internal tools, guidelines, and third-party data sources.
• Support team with data entry, document management, and administrative tasks.
• Collaborate on special projects or presentations related to IT projects.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, testers, and business users to support on-going and special project deliverables.
  
  

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Information systems, computer science preferred.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel); familiarity with insurance systems and project management tools is a plus.
• Working knowledge of XMLs and DevOps tools is preferred.
• Ability to create technical specifications.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Interest in a career in insurance software platform.
