ANNOUNCEMENT OF POSITION VACANCY

 

SUMMARY: The Cal Poly Pomona Enterprises is currently searching for three Part-Time Graduate/Undergraduate Student Research Assistants to work in research involving applied AI, Optimization, Computational Fluid Dynamic (ANSYS familiarity is a plus) under the supervision of Dr. Shokoufeh Mirzaei, Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering Department.

 

SOME OF THE THINGS THAT YOU WILL GET TO DO (this is just a small sampling of work variety):

  • The part-time student assistant will assist in literature review and developing an AI-powered decision support system for trajectory prediction of aerial vehicles

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be a Cal Poly Student pursuing an Undergraduate or Graduate degree in Science or Engineering Majors (must be a Green Card Holder or US Citizen).
  • Experience with Python Programming.
  • Experience with Machine Learning, optimization, CFD (ANSYS).
  • Ability to conduct literature review.
  • Excellent English verbal communication and writing skills.
  • Responsible and dependable.
  • Ability to work well with various people including students, faculty, staff, and high-level administrators.
  • Motivated, innovative, and shows initiative.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and instructional design with Canvas.

 

PREFERRED:

  • Experience working with HPC
