ANNOUNCEMENT OF POSITION VACANCY

 

SUMMARY: The Cal Poly Pomona Enterprises is currently searching for a Part-Time Assistant Coordinator to support the Office for Student Projects and Research through Industry Engagement (OSPRIE) and the METAL grant program, both under Dr. Winny Dong. 

 

SOME OF THE THINGS THAT YOU WILL GET TO DO (this is just a small sampling of work variety):

  • This position will be split between two programs within the College of Engineering.
  • The first position is for an Assistant Program Coordinator for the OSPRIE at 5 - 10 hours per week. 
  • The second position is in the METAL Program as an Assistant Program Coordinator at 5 - 10 hours per week.
  • Within these positions, you will work with a dynamic and passionate team to serve students who are first-generation, low-income, and historically underserved in higher education.
  • The work includes event coordination, interaction with industry partners, processing program paperwork, and supporting program activities.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Excellent English verbal communication and writing skills.
  • Willing to work across multiple departments.
  • Experience in customer service.
  • Experience working with students.
  • Responsible and dependable.
  • Ability to work well with various people, including students, faculty, staff, and high-level administrators.
  • Motivated, innovative, and shows initiative.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

 

PREFERRED:

  • Some experience in program coordination, event planning, or fundraising activities
