Cake Equity is on a mission to accelerate startup team motivation through equity—used by over 17,000 startups across 70+ countries. We're looking for a passionate Backend Engineer to build and maintain the robust, scalable systems that power our equity platform. WHAT YOU'LL DO
Build & Innovate: Architect, develop, and maintain the backend systems that drive our equity platform, ensuring high performance, reliability, and security.
Collaborate: Work hand-in-hand with product, front-end ninja's, and wider development team to translate complex business requirements into robust backend solutions.
Design APIs: Create and enhance GraphQL APIs that power our front-end interfaces, ensuring seamless data flow and user experience.
Scale & Optimize: Continuously monitor, optimize, and scale our systems to support a rapidly growing user base.
Own & Evolve: Take responsibility for key backend components, contributing to the technology roadmap, interest in LLMs/ML and championing best practices across the team.
