Job Description
We are looking for a Security Engineer to join our team. This position will be Full-Time and Hybrid, requiring a local candidate who can work on-premises when needed.
Only candidates without a need for sponsorship now or in the future will be considered.
What You’ll Do
Conduct security assessments and best practices for Azure Office 365 platforms
Perform security assessments on Windows 11 desktop environments
Review and improve Office 365 Data Loss Protection (DLP) settings and processes
Manage Windows Defender Advanced Threat Protection
Monitor and report on remote desktop patches
Perform server patch maintenance and ensure adherence to best practices
Review current security settings in M365 and Azure, document the environment, make best practice recommendations, and advise IT leadership on tool utilization
Focus on monitoring the environment and Data Loss Protection (DLP)
Collaborate with IT management, IT systems teams, vendors, and end users to identify and resolve security issues
Prepare and deliver presentations to management, both in person and remotely via camera
Provide hands-on support while maintaining a strong consulting/advisory role
What You'll Need
Required:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in the following:
Security assessments and best practices on Azure Office 365 platforms
Security assessments on Windows 11 desktop environments
Office 365 Data Loss Protection
Windows Defender Advanced Threat Protection
Remote desktop patch monitoring and reporting
Remote desktop patching
Microsoft Azure security best practices
Microsoft Cloud monitoring and logging
Server patch maintenance
Hands-on Microsoft Cloud and on-premises security administration
Familiarity with 3rd party reporting tools such as Nagios, Tenable, etc.
Experience interacting with IT management, IT systems teams, vendors, and end users
2+ years of professional services consulting
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience creating and delivering presentations to management
Ability to work independently, identify opportunities or issues, and provide hands-on support to resolve them
Preferred:
Microsoft GCC (Government Cloud) experience
SharePoint security assessments
Experience with Mandiant Managed Defense
Microsoft Security certifications
Physical Demands
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards
Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
Must be able to communicate with customers/team members over the phone and in person
Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.

$70.00 - $75.00 per hour
The pay range for this position is listed above. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including location, experience, and education. Benefit packages include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as 401k retirement account access. Employees in this role may also be entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
