Role Description The CAE Modeler will be responsible for creating, refining, and validating finite element models to support product design and development activities. Day-to-day tasks include interpreting design requirements, preparing geometry for meshing, generating high-quality meshes, running analyses, and documenting results in clear technical reports. The role involves close collaboration with design, simulation, and testing teams to improve product performance and resolve engineering issues. The CAE Modeler will also contribute to continuous improvement of modeling methodologies, tools, and best practices. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in CAE & Simulation, including finite element modeling, meshing, and analysis for structural, thermal, or durability applications.
- Proficiency with industry-standard CAE tools (e.g., ANSA, HyperMesh, Abaqus, ANSYS, NASTRAN, LS-DYNA) and related pre- and post-processing software.
- Solid understanding of mechanical engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes relevant to automotive and industrial applications.
- Ability to interpret CAD models and engineering drawings, and collaborate effectively with design and testing teams.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills, with attention to detail and model quality.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Experience in automotive, off-highway, industrial, or defense product development is an advantage.
- Willingness to work on-site in Chennai and contribute positively to a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
