Looking for Crash CAE Team team
Location: Pune
Key Responsibilities
Team & Project Leadership:
Manage and mentor junior engineers, assigning meshing and simulation tasks and conducting final technical reviews for quality and correctness.
Structural Strategy:
Develop and define structural sections and load paths to withstand frontal, side, rear, and roof crash modes.
Simulation Management:
Oversee full-vehicle integration for crash simulations in LS-DYNA, including model building, debugging, and execution of high-speed impact load cases.
Design Optimization:
Propose engineering countermeasures and structural modifications to meet energy absorption targets and safety performance requirements.
Validation & Correlation:
Lead CAE-to-physical test correlation activities to validate virtual performance against real-world crash results.
Technical Skills & Tools
Solvers: Expert proficiency in LS-DYNA (Explicit and Implicit analysis).
Pre-Processing: Mastery of tools like ANSA, HyperMesh, and Oasys Primer for model integration and assembly.
Post-Processing: Skilled in Meta, D3Plot, HyperView, and HyperGraph for detailed results interpretation.
Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of global safety standards including FMVSS, ECE, Euro NCAP, and Global NCAP protocols.
Advanced Materials: Knowledge of high-strength materials, BIW modeling, composites, and joining methods like adhesives and spot welds.
Qualifications
Education: B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech in Mechanical, Automobile, or Aerospace Engineering.
Experience: Typically 7 to 15 years in automotive structural CAE, with a proven track record in full-vehicle development projects
