CAE / CFD Modeling & Simulation Engineer (Semiconductor Equipment)
We are seeking a highly motivated and talented
CAE/CFD Modeling and Simulation Engineer to join our
Chief Technology Office (CTO) Engineering team.
In this role, you will be part of a dynamic engineering team contributing to the
development, analysis, and optimization of semiconductor manufacturing equipment through advanced simulation and modeling techniques.
Role Overview
The candidate will apply strong expertise in
Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and
thermal simulations to support semiconductor equipment design and performance optimization. The role involves simulation-driven problem solving, model validation, and collaboration with cross-functional engineering teams to enhance system reliability and efficiency.
Key Technical Requirements
- Strong knowledge of CFD, Fluid Dynamics, and Heat Transfer principles
- Experience in pre-processing and post-processing of CFD simulations
- Ability to work independently on simulation problems with minimal guidance
- Apply industry best practices to improve semiconductor equipment performance
- Serve as a technical resource and mentor within the engineering team
- Expertise in CAD modeling tools such as:
- UG NX
- Autodesk Inventor (for CAD simplification and CFD model preparation)
- Hands-on experience with commercial CFD tools:
- ANSYS Fluent / CFX
- ICEM-CFD
- ANSYS Mesher / Workbench
- CFD-ACE+
- COMSOL Multiphysics
- Exposure to plasma simulations or chemically reacting flows is an added advantage
- Experience in system-level modeling using:
- MATLAB / Simulink
- AMESim (preferred)
Key Responsibilities
- Develop CFD models to analyze flow and thermal behavior in semiconductor equipment systems
- Interpret simulation results and correlate with laboratory testing data
- Convert simulation outcomes into actionable design improvements
- Support product development by solving complex CAE engineering problems
- Identify opportunities where CAE simulations can accelerate product development cycles
- Validate and correlate simulation models using real-world experimental data
- Improve models continuously based on validation results
- Analyze and summarize CAE data using appropriate data analysis techniques
- Prepare high-quality engineering reports and present simulation results to design and process engineering teams
Functional Skills
- In-depth understanding of fluid dynamics and heat transfer
- Expert user of CFD analysis platforms (ANSYS Fluent/CFX, CFD-ACE+, COMSOL)
- Strong meshing expertise using ICEM or ANSYS Workbench
- Knowledge of plasma-related simulations preferred (Semiconductor domain relevance)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent teamwork and communication abilities
- Self-driven, collaborative, and quality-focused mindset
Educational Background
- B.E. / B.Tech. or M.E. / M.Tech. in:
- Mechanical Engineering
- Chemical Engineering
- Physics
- or related engineering discipline
- 5–8 years of relevant experience, preferably in semiconductor equipment or advanced engineering simulation environments
