ob SummaryWe are seeking a skilled CATIA V5 Design Engineer with strong expertise in automotive component design. The candidate will be responsible for 3D modeling, 2D drafting, and product development using CATIA V5 across multiple workbenches.
Key Responsibilities- Perform 3D modeling of new product components using CATIA V5
- Create detailed 2D drawings (Part, Assembly, Sheet Metal)
- Work on CATIA V5 modules:
- Part Design
- Assembly Workbench
- Generative Shape Design (GSD)
- Generative Sheet Metal Design
- Drafting
- Design & development of automotive components (Plastic & Sheet Metal)
- Conduct reverse engineering activities
- Apply GD&T principles and perform tolerance stack-up analysis
- Interpret and create engineering drawings as per standards
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams and client stakeholders
Educational Qualification- BE / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
- OR Diploma in Mechanical / Tooling
Experience- 3 – 6 years of relevant experience in CATIA V5 design
- Preferably from Automotive OEM / Tier-1 / Engineering Services background
Required Skills- Strong hands-on experience in CATIA V5
- Good understanding of manufacturing processes (Plastic & Sheet Metal)
- Proficiency in GD&T and tolerance analysis
- Ability to handle client-based ODC projects
