Role Description The CAD Draftsman is a full-time, on-site role based in New Delhi, responsible for preparing detailed technical drawings and engineering layouts for water treatment and wastewater recycling systems. The role includes creating and revising CAD models, piping layouts, equipment arrangements, and structural drawings in line with project specifications and industry standards. The CAD Draftsman will collaborate closely with engineers and project teams to interpret design requirements, ensure accuracy of drawings, and incorporate feedback and revisions. Daily tasks also involve maintaining drawing documentation, organizing project files, and supporting the preparation of as-built drawings and technical submissions. Attention to detail, adherence to quality and safety standards, and timely delivery of drawings are essential aspects of this position.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Technical Drawing and Engineering Drawings for industrial and utility projects.
- Candidates should possess skills in Drawing and Architectural Drawings to support layouts, site plans, and general arrangements.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools (e.g., AutoCAD or similar) for creating and modifying detailed 2D/3D drawings.
- Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Civil, or related engineering discipline, or in drafting/design from a recognized institution.
- Experience working on water treatment, wastewater systems, or process plant projects is an advantage.
- Ability to read and interpret technical specifications, P&IDs, and engineering standards.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple drawing assignments within deadlines.
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams on-site.
