Role Description The Jewelry CAD Designer is responsible for translating design concepts into precise technical and 3D CAD models suitable for manufacturing. Daily tasks include creating detailed construction drawings, refining design specifications, and collaborating with designers and production teams to ensure feasibility and aesthetic integrity.
The role also involves preparing files for prototyping and casting, maintaining design libraries, and updating models based on feedback and technical requirements. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Salem, requiring close coordination with in-house manufacturing and quality teams.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong technical skills to create accurate, production-ready jewelry designs.
- Candidates should possess skills to visualize concepts, explore variations, and communicate design ideas clearly.
- Candidates should possess 3 to 5 years of experience in jewelry-specific software (e.g., Rhino, Matrix, ZBrush, or similar).
- Candidates should possess Design Engineering skills to ensure designs are structurally sound, manufacturable, and aligned with material and process constraints.
- Additional beneficial qualifications include attention to detail, knowledge of jewelry materials and manufacturing processes, strong collaboration and communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- A diploma or degree in Jewelry Design, Industrial Design, Mechanical Design, or a related field, along with prior experience in jewelry CAD or product design, is preferred.
- Use of AI tools is preferable
