Job Title: CA/Non - CA – Payroll Accounting & Salary Tax Compliance
Location: Hyderabad
Experience Required
- Qualified CA: 2–3 years of relevant experience
- Non-CA (Commerce Graduate / MBA Finance): 5–7 years of relevant experience
Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented professional to manage payroll accounting, salary-related accounting entries, and employee income tax compliance. The role requires strong knowledge of payroll processes, accounting standards, TDS on salaries, and statutory compliance related to employee compensation.
Key Responsibilities
- Pass and review payroll/salary accounting entries in ERP/accounting systems
- Reconcile payroll accounts, salary payable accounts, and employee reimbursements
- Ensure accurate accounting of employee benefits, bonuses, incentives, and full & final settlements
- Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual salary-related compliance activities
- Manage TDS deductions under Income Tax provisions applicable to employee salaries
- Prepare and validate Form 16, salary tax workings, and investment declarations
- Coordinate with payroll teams, HR, auditors, and tax consultants for smooth payroll operations
- Support statutory audits, tax audits, and internal audits related to payroll and employee taxation
- Ensure compliance with applicable labour laws and statutory requirements related to payroll
- Prepare MIS reports and reconciliations related to payroll costs and employee taxation
- Stay updated with changes in income tax and payroll compliance regulations
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of payroll accounting and salary structures
- Good knowledge of Income Tax provisions related to salaries and TDS
- Experience in payroll reconciliations and statutory compliance
- Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP/accounting software (SAP/Oracle/Tally/Workday preferred)
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Attention to detail and ability to manage timelines
Preferred Qualifications
- CA / Inter CA / MBA Finance / B.Com / M.Com
- Experience in handling payroll accounting for medium to large organizations preferred
