The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing direct tax litigation matters, providing strategic guidance, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Tax Litigation Management: Oversee all aspects of direct tax litigation, including assessments, appeals, and representation before tax authorities and tribunals.
* Advisory Role: Provide expert advice on direct tax issues, including tax planning, compliance, and dispute resolution.
* Research and Analysis: Conduct detailed research on tax laws, regulations, and case law to support litigation strategies and advise clients.
* Client Interaction: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
* Documentation: Prepare and review legal documents, including petitions, replies, and submissions to tax authorities.
* Stay Updated: Keep abreast of changes in tax legislation and case law to provide timely updates to clients and the team.
