Role Description The CA Article Trainee will work full time on-site at the Mysore office, supporting audit, accounting, and taxation assignments under the supervision of qualified professionals. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting in statutory and internal audits, preparing and maintaining books of accounts, and supporting the preparation of financial statements and working papers. The trainee will help with direct and indirect tax compliance, including documentation, returns, and basic tax computations. The role also involves performing analytical reviews, conducting research on accounting and tax matters, and preparing draft reports and presentations for clients. The trainee will be expected to follow professional standards, maintain confidentiality, and actively participate in training and knowledge-sharing sessions within the firm.
Qualifications
- Candidates should be registered as CA Articles with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) and eligible to undertake articleship training.
- Strong fundamentals in accounting, auditing, taxation, and basic corporate finance, with the ability to apply these concepts in practical assignments.
- Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel and Word) and familiarity with accounting and tax software; willingness to learn new tools and systems.
- Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear working papers, draft reports, and professional correspondence.
- Attention to detail, analytical thinking, and a structured approach to problem-solving and documentation.
- Ability to work on-site in Mysore, manage time effectively, and collaborate with team members across different offices.
- High level of integrity, commitment to professional ethics, and openness to continuous learning and training.
- Completion of relevant CA Intermediate/Inter level examinations and prior internship or practical exposure in accounting or finance is an advantage.
