ASPHALT OPERATIONS MANAGER
CWR is a growing road construction company. We are seeking to fill an Asphalt Operations Manager position for our local operations.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise asphalt paving operations across multiple projects
- Manage field personnel, including foremen, operators, and labor crews
- Ensure compliance with safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
- Monitor production, schedules, and job costs to meet or exceed project goals
- Coordinate equipment, trucking, and material deliveries to maintain workflow
- Conduct site visits to monitor progress, quality, and performance
- Troubleshoot operational issues and implement solutions in real time
- Collaborate with project managers on scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation
- Train, mentor, and develop field staff
- Maintain accurate daily reports, production tracking, and documentation
- Ability to complete all required daily, weekly, and monthly reports
- Must be knowledgeable as to all aspects of safety, OSHA, equal employment and affirmative action programs
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in asphalt paving operations or road construction
- Proven experience supervising crews and managing field operations
- Strong knowledge of asphalt paving processes, equipment, and materials
- Understanding of DOT specifications and quality standards
- Ability to read and interpret plans, schedules, and job cost reports
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Must be willing to work days, nights or weekends as needed
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and construction management systems (preferred)
- Must be able to meet company MVR requirements and have a valid Florida driver’s license
- Employer conducts drug screening and background check
