About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Software Development Engineer (SDE 3) with a strong background in C++ and related technologies to join our esteemed client in Pune. This role is pivotal in designing, developing, and maintaining complex software systems that support in-flight entertainment and connectivity solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of developers, ensuring high-quality code delivery, and contributing to the overall system architecture. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a seasoned professional to work on innovative projects within a dynamic and collaborative environment.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 6 years and up to 10 years of relevant experience in software development. A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is preferred. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in C++ and C programming languages, with a solid understanding of object-oriented design principles. Experience with embedded software development, Linux operating systems, and networking protocols is essential. Familiarity with data structures, algorithms, SQL, and version control tools like GitLab is required. Additional knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, code deployment, debugging, and tools such as Eclipse, Visual Studio, Jira, and Confluence will be advantageous. Knowledge of Kubernetes and Jenkins is considered a plus. Excellent communication skills, leadership qualities, and the ability to mentor junior developers are critical for success in this role. This is primarily an on-site position based in Pune, with WFH options limited to exceptional circumstances.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable, high-performance software solutions tailored to in-flight entertainment and connectivity systems.
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code adhering to best practices and coding standards.
- Conduct code reviews and provide mentorship to junior developers to foster skill development and ensure code quality.
- Lead a team of 4 to 8 engineers, coordinating technical delivery and ensuring project milestones are met.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize software to improve system performance, reliability, and security.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and incorporate innovative solutions into ongoing projects.
- Participate actively in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and other Agile ceremonies to facilitate smooth project execution.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware, QA, and product management to deliver integrated solutions.
- Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with organizational standards and procedures.
