Role: Founding Full-Stack Engineer

As a Founding Full-Stack Engineer at Bynd, you will be responsible for building scalable server-side applications and seamless front-end integrations for our advanced AI-driven web applications. You will lead the engineering team to bring our SaaS application from 0 to 1, collaborating closely with our founders and domain experts. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic, innovative, and forward-thinking environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design, develop, and implement scalable server-side applications and APIs using frameworks like NestJS and Node.js.
2. Lead the engineering team in taking a SaaS application from concept to deployment.
3. Collaborate with front-end engineers to ensure seamless integration between server logic and user-facing components.
4. Manage and optimize SQL/NoSQL databases, ensuring data integrity, security, and scalability.
5. Develop and manage RESTful APIs, ensuring optimal performance and responsiveness.
6. Utilize cloud services (Azure or AWS) for infrastructure management and deployment.
7. Stay current with emerging back-end technologies and integrate them to enhance application performance.
8. Participate actively in code reviews, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement efforts.
   
   

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
2. 4+ years of experience in full-stack development, with a focus on back-end technologies.
3. Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Node.js, and server-side frameworks like NestJS.
4. Experience in designing and optimizing database schemas and managing both SQL and NoSQL databases.
5. Proven experience with cloud platforms (Azure or AWS) and containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
6. Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform).
7. Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on scalable, efficient solutions.
8. Strong communication and leadership skills, with experience managing engineering teams and driving product development.
   
   

Bonus Points:

1. Experience in a startup environment and enthusiasm for product development.
2. Familiarity with the financial services industry (banking, private equity, etc.).
3. Proven experience taking a SaaS product from 0 to 1.
