About Zavya

Zavya is a fast-growing 925 silver jewellery brand built on self-love and everyday luxury. As we scale across D2C, marketplaces, and quick commerce, we’re looking for a detail-oriented and data-driven Merchandising Operations Executive to strengthen our backend execution and decision-making.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers, systems, and structured data — and wants to grow within a high-performance merchandising team.

Role Overview

You will be responsible for managing merchandising data, tracking inventory, analyzing sales trends, and building structured reporting systems that support merchandising and supply chain decisions.

This is not a basic data entry role.

We are looking for someone analytical, structured, and strong with Excel/Google Sheets.

Key Responsibilities

1️⃣ Merchandising Data Management

• Maintain and update product catalogs, SKUs, pricing, and inventory trackers.
• Ensure data accuracy across all internal sheets and reporting formats.
• Track WIP (Work-in-Progress) inventory and vendor dispatch schedules.
• Follow up with vendors and update production timelines in reporting formats.

2️⃣ Advanced Spreadsheet Management

• Build and maintain advanced Google Sheets / Excel trackers.
• Use formulas and automation to reduce manual work.
• Create pivot-based performance dashboards.
• Perform regular data cleaning and validation to ensure zero reporting errors.

3️⃣ Reporting & Analysis

• Develop automated daily/weekly merchandising reports.
• Track sales velocity and stock movement trends.
• Support pricing updates and merchandising planning decisions.
• Identify slow-moving SKUs and stock-out risks.
• Support forecasting inputs for replenishment planning.

4️⃣ Inventory & Operations Support

• Monitor stock levels and update inventory trackers.
• Coordinate with supply chain and merchandising teams.
• Maintain structured documentation for audits and internal tracking.
• Required Technical Skills
• Strong hands-on expertise in:
• Google Sheets & Microsoft Excel
• VLOOKUP / XLOOKUP
• INDEX + MATCH
• SUMIF / COUNTIF
• IF / Nested IF
• Pivot Tables
• Data Cleaning & Validation
• Basic dashboard building
• Must be comfortable handling large datasets with high accuracy.

What We’re Looking For

• 1–2 years experience in merchandising operations / retail operations / data operations.
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail.
• Ability to work with structured processes and timelines.
• Proactive in identifying errors and improving workflows.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, Supply Chain, or related field.
• Experience working with large operational spreadsheets and reporting systems.
• Jewellery industry exposure is preferred but not mandatory.
