As part of the Procurement team, the Buyer / Senior Buyer plays a key role in ensuring uninterrupted project execution through effective sourcing, supplier coordination, and logistics planning.

What You Will Do

In this role, you will:

Procurement Planning & Execution

• Forecast and plan annual procurement activities based on project inputs
• Manage day‑to‑day procurement activities and proactively mitigate delays
• Ensure purchasing is executed in line with procurement plans, quality standards, and timelines
• Vet purchase requisitions and purchase orders and track them through delivery and quality checks

Vendor & Supply Chain Management

• Identify, evaluate, negotiate, and develop reliable vendors to achieve cost‑effective sourcing
• Maintain strong supplier relationships and a structured vendor database
• Assess vendor performance on quality, delivery, pricing, and compliance
• Liaise between technical teams and vendors to resolve technical clarifications

Logistics & Trade Compliance

• Coordinate import/export activities and logistics arrangements, including global transportation and local warehousing
• Liaise with logistics providers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials
• Ensure compliance with local, national, and international trade regulations

Cost & Commercial Management

• Analyze procurement spend and identify opportunities for cost optimization and value creation
• Monitor market trends and material availability to ensure competitive pricing
• Coordinate with Finance for timely vendor payments and resolution of commercial issues

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain accurate procurement records, documentation, and audit trails
• Support pre‑bid activities by providing procurement inputs to marketing and estimation teams

What We Are Looking For

• Diploma / BE / B.Tech (Mechanical preferred)
• 3–6 years’ experience in procurement within the Oil & Gas industry
• Good experience of local & international trade
• Strong knowledge of procurement practices, contract terms, and trade regulations
• Sound financial acumen and strong negotiation skills
• Proficiency in MS Office and procurement documentation
• Strong communication, coordination, and vendor‑management capabilities
• Well‑organized, detail‑oriented, and a strong team player
• Ability to review and negotiate supplier contracts confidently
