About the role

Job Title: Marketing and Events Intern

Position Responsibilities:

CaPS Marketing:

  • Develop a CaPS Brand Guide and marketing plan to target various constituents including, but not limited to, students, staff/faculty, and employers.
  • Create engaging posts and campaigns for CaPS social media platforms (Instagram).
  • Assist in creating and designing a newsletter and/or other office communications designed to market CaPS resources and services.
  • Provide feedback and suggestions for improvement for the CaPS website and associated materials.

CaPS Events:

  • Develop marketing materials for career fairs and other CaPS events.
  • Assist in planning CaPS events, including day-of coordination, logistics, and vendor relations.
  • Analyze feedback from past events and career fairs, proposing actionable improvements.

BlueWork Marketing:

  • Develop comprehensive marketing plans targeting employers.
  • Update and revamp the Employer Guide.
  • Design and create social media content (Instagram), including graphics.

Additional tasks will be decided in collaboration with the supervisor, but will be designed to map to the intern’s career and professional goals.

Required Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in graphic design tools (e.g., Canva) and social media platforms.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of video capture and editing.
  • Experience with event planning or coordination is a plus.
