Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Jira Align Support Engineer to join our Agile Tooling team. This role is critical in supporting the configuration, maintenance, and operational management of Jira Align, ensuring smooth tool usage for end-users and alignment across enterprise portfolios, programs, and teams.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Assist in the initial setup and configuration of Jira Align instances.
- Configure system settings, process flows, custom fields, and other solution-wide configurations.
- Support the integration between Jira Align and Azure DevOps (or Jira Software) through connector configuration.
- Monitor connector syncs, troubleshoot errors, and coordinate resolution with Atlassian support.
- Manage user access and roles in Jira Align, including provisioning, deactivation, and license tracking.
- Support user license audits and monthly license usage reviews.
- Support onboarding new portfolios, programs, and teams into Jira Align.
- Set up program-level backlogs, roadmaps, value streams, and OKRs where applicable.
- Respond to and resolve user-reported incidents, technical issues, and 'how-to' questions.
- Maintain documentation on configuration changes, FAQs, and standard operating procedures.
- Contribute to user enablement by supporting training sessions and creating walkthrough guides.
- Identify opportunities to enhance tool usability and improve operational support.
- Stay current with Jira Align updates, release notes, and best practices.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Bachelor s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 1–2 years of experience in a technical support or tool administration role (Jira Align, Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms).
- Basic understanding of Agile frameworks (SAFe, Scrum, Kanban) and product lifecycle management.
- Hands-on experience with Jira Align configuration, connector setup, or related Atlassian tools is a strong plus.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to support users effectively.
