About the Role
We are looking for a highly responsible, proactive and execution-oriented professional to work directly with the business owner and coordinate day-to-day business operations across our multi-outlet franchise business.
This is a high-ownership role for someone who can ensure that office staff perform their responsibilities effectively, keep business functions running smoothly, track important tasks and deadlines, and take direct ownership of assignments delegated by the business owner.
The candidate will work across operations, franchise management, accounts coordination, HR, administration, procurement and other business functions as required. The role demands someone who takes responsibility for outcomes rather than simply completing assigned tasks.
Key Responsibilities
1. Office Management & Team Accountability
* Ensure office staff report on time, remain productive and complete their assigned responsibilities.
* Monitor attendance, daily task progress, pending work and employee performance.
* Coordinate between team members to ensure smooth execution and prevent delays.
* Conduct daily follow-ups and maintain visibility on important tasks, deadlines and deliverables.
* Identify gaps in team performance and escalate recurring issues to the business owner.
2. Founder’s Office & Task Execution
* Act as the primary point of contact for the business owner for day-to-day execution and coordination.
* Understand the business owner’s instructions, convert them into actionable tasks, delegate where appropriate, and follow through until completion.
* Maintain a central tracker of priorities, pending tasks, deadlines and responsibilities.
* Proactively identify bottlenecks, resolve routine issues independently and escalate only when necessary.
* Ensure that commitments made by the team are fulfilled on time.
3. Franchise Operations & Outlet Coordination
* Coordinate with franchise owners regarding operational queries, documentation, onboarding and outlet launches.
* Follow up on outlet setup, launch timelines, pending requirements and operational issues.
* Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to resolve outlet-related problems.
* Support the management of Petpooja POS, Zomato, Swiggy and other outlet-level operational requirements.
* Ensure operational SOPs are followed and recurring issues are documented and addressed.
4. Accounts, Payments & Administrative Coordination
* Track franchise royalty payments, pending dues, invoices and payment follow-ups in coordination with the accounts function.
* Maintain records of important business documents, agreements, invoices and operational reports.
* Coordinate with vendors, suppliers and service providers on pending deliveries, payments and commitments.
* Help maintain accurate operational data and timely reporting.
5. HR & Internal Administration
* Coordinate recruitment schedules, interviews, joining formalities and employee documentation.
* Track attendance, leaves, probation periods, performance reviews and other HR follow-ups.
* Ensure employees understand their responsibilities and comply with internal processes.
* Support the implementation and improvement of company SOPs and reporting systems.
6. Cross-Functional Business Support
* Work across business functions depending on the company’s current priorities.
* Assist with special projects, process improvements, new outlet launches and business initiatives.
* Identify repetitive manual work and suggest ways to improve efficiency through better systems, trackers and automation.
* Take ownership of new responsibilities as the business expands.
What We Are Looking For
* Strong ownership mentality, discipline and a bias towards action.
* Excellent communication, coordination and follow-up skills.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and hold people accountable for commitments.
* Comfortable working directly with a business owner in a fast-paced, evolving business.
* Good working knowledge of Google Sheets, Excel, email and task-management tools.
* Ability to understand business requirements, prioritize work and make routine decisions independently.
* High integrity, reliability and willingness to take responsibility when things go wrong.
* Prior experience in business operations, administration, team coordination, executive assistance, retail operations or a startup environment is preferred.
Performance Expectations
The successful candidate will be expected to:
* Keep office operations organized and ensure team members remain accountable.
* Ensure delegated tasks are tracked, followed up on and completed within agreed timelines.
* Reduce the business owner’s involvement in routine coordination and administrative follow-ups.
* Maintain accurate trackers and provide clear updates on completed, pending and delayed tasks.
* Flag risks and operational issues before they become major problems.
* Demonstrate increasing independence and take ownership of responsibilities over time.
Compensation & Growth
Monthly compensation of up to ₹30,000, depending on relevant experience, capabilities and demonstrated ownership.
This role offers direct exposure to business management, franchise operations and decision-making within a growing multi-outlet food brand. Strong performance can lead to greater responsibility and progression into a Business Operations Manager role.
