Your Impact
As a Contingent Workforce Operations Specialist, you will play a critical role in delivering operational excellence across the contingent talent lifecycle. Acting as a trusted advisor and Subject Matter Expert (SME), you will support hiring managers, suppliers, and internal teams while ensuring compliance with Cisco’s policies and procurement standards.
You Will
- Serve as an SME for contingent labor policies, VMS platforms (e.g., Beeline), and MSP processes
- Drive end-to-end contingent workforce operations including requisitions, onboarding, assignment management, and offboarding
- Continuously analyze processes to identify bottlenecks and implement improvements across the lifecycle
- Design and manage effective onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring smooth transitions and strong user experience
- Own and manage high-touch transactions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and adherence to SLAs/KPIs
- Manage and resolve service requests and incidents through ServiceNow and related systems
- Build strong relationships with suppliers, understand market capabilities, and drive supplier performance excellence
- Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and suppliers for staff augmentation operations
- Partner with Strategic Sourcing Managers to analyze vendor performance using VMS data and reporting insights
- Train and guide Business Operations Analysts and end users on systems, tools, and processes
- Foster collaboration and demonstrate Cisco’s culture of teamwork, empathy, and inclusion
- Ensure compliance with Cisco policies, procurement standards, and regional regulations
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of experience, including 4+ years in Procurement, Sourcing, or Operations
- Hands-on expertise in VMS platforms (e.g., Beeline) and MSP processes
- Strong experience in end-to-end contingent workforce operations and transaction management
- Proven ability to manage stakeholders and suppliers, with strong influencing and negotiation skills
- Experience with ServiceNow (incident and service request management)
- Strong understanding of recruitment processes including requisitions, approvals, extensions, and assignment changes within VMS
- Ability to analyze data and metrics to drive operational improvements
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or TQM
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset
- Experience managing vendor performance and supplier relationships at scale
- Ability to identify process gaps and implement scalable solutions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on customer experience
- Demonstrated ability to mentor team members and support cross-functional collaboration
- High attention to detail with strong compliance and governance orientation
