Role Description The Business Mentor is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru, focused on supporting small and growing education-focused businesses and institutional partners in achieving their strategic and operational goals. In this role, the Business Mentor will provide one-on-one and group mentoring sessions, guide partners through business planning processes, and help them develop sustainable growth strategies aligned with USDC Global’s digital education offerings. Daily tasks include analyzing partner business models, reviewing financial plans, identifying opportunities for improvement, and offering practical recommendations on operations, marketing, and learner acquisition. The Business Mentor will collaborate closely with internal teams to align mentoring interventions with USDC Global’s programs and services, deliver training workshops, and track progress against agreed milestones. The role also involves preparing concise reports, maintaining accurate documentation of mentoring activities, and contributing insights to enhance USDC Global’s overall partner support framework.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Business Planning and strategic analysis, with the ability to guide partners in building and refining sustainable business models.
- Demonstrated experience in Mentoring and Training, including conducting structured sessions, workshops, and ongoing guidance for professionals or small business owners.
- Understanding of Small Business dynamics, particularly in the education or edtech sector, and experience supporting growth and transformation initiatives.
- Solid Finance knowledge, including budgeting, forecasting, and interpreting financial statements to advise on profitability and risk management.
- Proven ability to communicate complex concepts clearly, both verbally and in writing, with strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Management, or a related field; an advanced degree or relevant certifications in mentoring, coaching, or entrepreneurship are an advantage.
- Experience working with universities, HEIs, or edtech organizations is highly beneficial, along with familiarity with digital transformation in education.
- Capacity to work on-site in Bengaluru, manage multiple stakeholder engagements, and use digital tools for documentation, analysis, and reporting.
