Business Manager – India (Japanese Speaker) | Drive the Next Phase of Growth
Are you a Japanese-speaking professional with a strong commercial mindset and a passion for developing business in an international environment? We are looking for a Business Manager to play a key role in driving our next phase of growth in India.
With an established liaison office in Bangalore and a solid foundation already in place, we are now entering an exciting new phase as we transition towards a full local entity. This role is dedicated to driving commercial growth and expanding our footprint, with a focus on identifying new opportunities, growing key accounts, and acting as a bridge between our teams in India, Japan, and Europe.
Working closely with the Country Manager, you will contribute directly to the commercial direction of the business, building strong client relationships and helping to shape our long-term success in the region.
Role Overview
To support the next phase of our growth in India, we are looking for a Business Manager to drive commercial development and expand our footprint.
Building on our established presence in Bangalore, this role will play a key part as we transition towards a full local entity. You will work closely with teams across India, Japan, and Europe, acting as a bridge between the local market and global stakeholders to translate customer needs into aligned commercial strategies and ensure effective execution.
You are a commercially driven individual with the ambition to take ownership of business development and sales activities, contributing directly to revenue growth as the organisation continues to scale. While a technical background is not required, a strong curiosity for Machine Vision technology is essential.
You will focus on identifying new opportunities, supporting deal execution, and strengthening client relationships, while contributing to a high-performance, results-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities (including but not limited to)
Business Development & Sales Growth
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within the Indian market
- Support and drive the development and closing of key deals
- Expand relationships with existing clients and partners
- Contribute to building and executing local sales strategies aligned with global objectives
Commercial Execution
- Support negotiations, proposals, and contract discussions
- Coordinate internally to ensure smooth execution of commercial activities
- Monitor pipeline development and track progress on key opportunities
Market & Opportunity Analysis
- Analyse market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape
- Identify growth areas and propose actionable strategies
- Provide insights and recommendations to internal stakeholders
Stakeholder Coordination & Communication
- Work closely with teams across India, Japan, and the EU
- Support internal and external meetings, including preparation and follow-up
- Communicate effectively with clients, partners, and internal teams
Process & Environment Building
- Contribute to building scalable commercial processes
- Support the development of a performance-driven sales environment
- Take ownership and initiative in driving business forward
Background & Experience
- Experience in business development, sales, or commercial roles
- Experience working in an international or cross-cultural environment
- Proven ability to support or drive deal execution and client relationships
Language Skills
- Japanese: Business level or fluent
- English: Business level (spoken and written)
