Role Description The Business Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region, responsible for overseeing restaurant operations and business performance. This role involves managing day-to-day outlet activities, including staff supervision, guest experience, inventory and cost control, and adherence to quality and safety standards. The Business Manager analyzes sales reports, monitors KPIs, and implements initiatives to improve revenue, profitability, and operational efficiency. Responsibilities include coordinating marketing and promotional activities, maintaining brand standards, handling customer feedback, and ensuring high levels of service. The role also covers recruitment support, training, scheduling, and fostering a positive, inclusive work environment aligned with Barbeque Nation’s customer-first philosophy.
Qualifications
- Operational management skills, including outlet administration, resource planning, and compliance with safety and hygiene norms.
- Business and financial acumen, such as budgeting, cost control, P&L understanding, and data-driven decision-making.
- Leadership and people management capabilities, including team supervision, coaching, performance management, and conflict resolution.
- Customer service and relationship management skills, with a focus on delivering excellent guest experiences and managing feedback.
- Sales and marketing orientation, including experience with local promotions, events, and brand-building initiatives.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and interact with diverse stakeholders.
- Experience in hospitality, restaurant, or retail operations is highly beneficial; prior multi-outlet or high-volume experience is an advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; equivalent practical experience considered.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by restaurant operations.
